WooCommerce and WordPress Vanja Devčić Vanja DevčićSenior e-commerce engineer · 16+ years

WooCommerce that updates without breaking.

Staged updates, plugin conflict fixes, caching and custom development, shipped every month by a senior e-commerce engineer. Updates are tested on staging before they touch the live store. Magento is my core; I take on WooCommerce stores where the problem is speed, integrations or code quality.

Takes about 30 seconds. No email needed for the first result. Plans €290 to €1,490 a month, fixed in writing.

Common issues

What usually slows a WooCommerce store down

  1. 01
Plugin conflicts after updatesUpdates applied on the live site, with no staging copy to test the combination of plugins first.
  2. 02
No page or object cacheEvery visit rendered by PHP and the database, which falls over under sale traffic.
  3. 03
Heavy page buildersLarge CSS and JavaScript bundles loaded on every product and category page.
  4. 04
Cart fragments and AJAXBackground requests on every page view that keep the server busy for no visible benefit.
  5. 05
Shared hosting limitsCheap hosting that cannot keep up once the catalogue and traffic grow.

What 8 hours on WooCommerce look like

Real-shaped examples of a Growth month. Bigger items such as migrations and version upgrades are quoted as projects, so the plan hours stay for the work that keeps the store moving.

WooCommerce questions

Asked by WooCommerce stores

General questions about communication, billing and access are in the full FAQ.

Updates broke our site before. How do you avoid that?

Every update runs on a staging copy first, with checkout, payment and the top pages tested before release. If a plugin update breaks something, you never see it in production.

Which page builders and themes?

Gutenberg blocks first, and the common builders where a store already uses one. If a builder is the reason the site is slow, the engineering audit will say so, with the cost of leaving it.

Do you write custom plugins?

Yes, when a store needs something no plugin does well: integrations, pricing rules, checkout fields. Written as a proper plugin, in your repository, so updates do not wipe it out.

Should we move hosting?

Only if the engineering audit shows the host is the bottleneck. Often the fix is caching and a few plugins. If a move is right, it is quoted as a project and done with a staging copy first.

Security

Your code stays yours.

NDA signed before access, read-only for the audit, removed on delivery.

How access works
  • Signed before accessNDA and data processing agreement are part of the agreement you sign at checkout. Nothing is accessed before that.
  • Read-only for the auditThe audit needs to read code, not change it. No production changes, no deploys.
  • No customer dataNo production database. If data is needed, an anonymised copy is used.
  • Personal, revocable accessOne named account, 2FA on. Anything that has to be a secret reaches me through the secure drop: sealed in your browser with my public key, readable only on my machine, never by email. You can revoke it any time.
