Your Magento store, faster every month.

I fix what slows your store down, keep it patched and upgraded, and ship improvements every month for one fixed price. For Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce stores that need a senior engineer, not an agency queue. You work with me directly, in your own Jira or Slack.

Takes about 30 seconds. No email needed for the first result. Plans €290 to €1,490 a month, fixed in writing.

What I fix

The four things that usually hold a Magento store back

On Shopify, WooCommerce or Headless / Custom? The free check works on any store, and I take on those stores when the problem is speed, integrations or code quality. Magento is the core.

  1. A slow Luma storefront

I move it to Hyvä, including checkout. Hyvä Theme has been free and open source since November 2025, so the cost is the work, not a licence.

  2. Pages that miss the cache

I find the block, cookie or setting that breaks full-page cache and fix it, so cached pages answer in a few hundred milliseconds.

  3. Upgrade and patch debt

Regular support for Magento 2.4.6 ended in August 2026; 2.4.4 and 2.4.5 get no fixes at all. I bring the store to a supported release and keep it there.

  4. Features stuck in a queue

Small ones fit the monthly plan. Larger ones get a written scope and a fixed quote within two working days.

Why V.DEV

An agency, a freelancer, or one senior engineer?

Each is right for something. This is where a fixed monthly engineer fits, and where it does not.

“He is genuinely one of the most proactive, insightful and solution-orientated developers I’ve worked with. He approaches problems directly, gets to the root of complex technical challenges quickly and consistently comes back with well-considered, pragmatic solutions rather than simply identifying the issue. […] He’s dependable, easy to work with, communicates clearly, and has always been willing to take ownership and help move things forward. I would highly recommend him to any team looking for a strong Adobe Commerce development/ Magento developer, particularly someone who can contribute confidently across both frontend and backend development.”
Ian Rushton Principal Developer
“We had the pleasure of working with Vanja for a 5 month contract this year. We found additional projects beyond his initial project for him to work on due to the excellent quality of his work. Everyone in the team was impressed by his working methods, code quality and communication.”
Luke Collymore Founder, Relay Meetings & Develo, the specialist Adobe Commerce, Mage-OS & Hyvä agency
“He has been a huge asset to the team, taking a natural lead and working proactively and efficiently from the outset. Vanja is a great communicator, assisting in keeping stakeholders informed and always keeping the wider team updated.”

Security

Your code stays yours.

NDA signed before access, read-only for the audit, removed on delivery.

How access works
  • Signed before accessNDA and data processing agreement are part of the agreement you sign at checkout. Nothing is accessed before that.
  • Read-only for the auditThe audit needs to read code, not change it. No production changes, no deploys.
  • No customer dataNo production database. If data is needed, an anonymised copy is used.
  • Personal, revocable accessOne named account, 2FA on. Anything that has to be a secret reaches me through the secure drop: sealed in your browser with my public key, readable only on my machine, never by email. You can revoke it any time.
FAQ

Questions before you start

The questions about price and terms. More detail on how it works.

Why one engineer and not an agency?

An agency gives you a team and a queue: the ticket waits for whoever is free, and the senior you met in the sales call rarely does the work. One senior engineer on a fixed monthly plan does the work personally, knows your store after the first month and answers the same working day. The trade-off is capacity: a 40-hour month, a replatform or a large build is a project or an agency job, and the engineering audit says so when that is the better fit; the comparison table on the homepage puts the three options side by side.

What happens if you are ill or on holiday?

Planned time off is announced at least two weeks ahead and scheduled around your releases, so nothing is mid-deploy while I am away. Monitoring and alerts keep running. If your store cannot go without cover for critical incidents, I arrange it with a partner engineer, under the same NDA, before the plan starts; that is agreed in writing, not promised in a FAQ.

Who has access to our code and servers?

Only the senior engineer who works on your store, read-only for the audit, through accounts you own and can revoke at any time. The NDA and data processing agreement are signed before any access. Repositories stay in your organisation, deploys go through staging first, and access is removed the day a subscription ends.

Can we switch plans or cancel?

Yes. Care, Growth and Scale start with a 3-month initial term, then run month to month; the agency retainer runs month to month from the start with one month's notice. Move between Care, Growth and Scale from the next billing month; cancel with 30 days' notice. Your code, accounts and documentation stay with you.

We already have an agency or in-house developers. Does this still work?

Often, yes. V.DEV can take the performance and platform work while your team handles features, or act as senior review and architecture support. The agency retainer covers white-label work for agencies.

How is AI used on our code?

AI tools speed up writing, reviewing and testing code; every change is read, tested and deployed by the senior engineer. Only tools on commercial terms that do not train on your data are used. If your policy requires it, AI tooling can be switched off for your project.
